Died: 15 Jun 2002, Sudbury, Ontario

 

LALONDE, Aldege Armand (Al) - In loving memory of Aldege Al Armand Lalonde, 79 years. Saturday morning, June 15, 2002 at Finlandia Koti, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Alice (Core) Lalonde of Sudbury. Loving father of John (wife Dorothy Moores) of Whippany, N.J. and Joanne (husband Tim Hansen) of Calgary. Cherished grandfather of John Lalonde (wife Karen Schmelzle) and Jeffrey Lalonde (wife Frankie Leduc), both of Montreal, and Stephanie and Christie Hansen, both of Calgary; and great-grandchildren, Bradley and Tyler Lalonde, both of Montreal. Dear son of John and Armande Lalonde, both predeceased. Dear brother of Jeanne Brunette (husband Dewey, predeceased) of Garson and Blanche Lalonde, predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Born in Espanola, he married Alice in Copper Cliff in 1947. Al served with the Navy in World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 76, Sudbury. He enjoyed needlepoint, dancing at Seniors Socials and was a member of the Golden Age Club. Al will fondly be remembered for his love of life, gathered around his friends and family. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, ON, Wednesday June 19, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation in the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to Finlandia Koti or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Friends may gather after 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. (Calgary Herald 16 Jun 2002)
