Ailing Seaman Taken To Hospital - Ordinary Seaman Jean Louis Boulay of Montreal, a crew member of the Halifax based cruiser "Quebec" who was operated on at sea yesterday after being stricken with acute appendicitis, was taken to the United States Air Force Hospital in Bermuda when the Quebec pulled into port there yesterday afternoon at 3.30 p.m.  (Research by / Courtesy of George Newbury)

 

Follow up to the article, OS Boulay was then flown to Greenwood, N.S by the RCAF and by ambulance to Stadacona hospital, then 30 days sick leave before rejoining his ship.
