Died: 17 Apr 2019, Windsor, Ontario

 

LACHANCE, Nelson Joseph (Barney) - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nelson "Barney" Joseph Lachance in Windsor, Ont., on April 17, 2019 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail (Grennan) and sons, Brad (Debbie), and Steven (Miwako), and grandchildren, Max, Rawley, Sophie, Nina, and Maya. He is also survived by brothers, Pat, John (Wendi), and Mike (Wanda) as well as in-laws, Wayne and Eleanor Grennan, and Brian and Linda Grennan, and their families and many loving nieces and nephews. Born in Halifax on December 18, 1940, Nelson proudly served his country in the Navy, Air Force and Commissionaires for 23 years. He lived for many years in Sackville before moving to Windsor, Ont. A memorial service was held in Windsor Chapel on April 27, 2019. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 02 May 2019)
