Died: 06 Mar 2005, Rimouski, Quebec

 

Charles recounted to his son how they captured U-570 and that they were in the port of Halifax when the ammunition warehouse exploded - "The darkness of the night went as bright as daylight."  (Webmaster's note: the explosion was at the ammunition depot at the Bedford Magazine on 18 Jul 1945)
