HMCS Sudbury's Bell made it back to Sudbury, ON along with HMCS Copper Cliff's Ship's Bell in 1946. They were both presented by Lt Peter Chance RCN.
As part of RCSCC Admiral Mountbatten's 40th Reunion and the City of Sudbury's Centennial on June 4th 1983 Mayor Peter Wong honoured the corps by proclaiming Freedom of the City for RCSCC Admiral Mountbatten. The corps presented the Ship's Bells of HMCS Sudbury and RCSCC Admiral Mountbatten to the city encased in a showcase built by James Diotte 2886-73. It has been on permanent display in the main hallway since that time.
