Acquired by the RCN:     

Fate: Destroyed by fire on 09 May 1943

 

HMCS Vercheres was an ex-Coast Guard ship taken into service as an auxiliary minesweeper. Built at the Polson Iron Works in 1901. She was destroyed by fire at Sorel, Que. on 09 May 1943.  Her length was 104 feet and she displaced 157 tons.
