Acquired by RCN: 31 Jul 1940

Commissioned: 11 Feb 1942

Paid off: 25 Mar 1946

Returned to owners: 1946

Fate: Broken up in 1957

 

Built in Liverpool, NS in 1927. Hired on 31 Jul 1940, and commissioned on 11 Feb 1942, this wooden-hulled coaster was based at Halifax, functioning primarily as a coil skid towing vessel. Standard Coaster was paid off on 25 Mar 1946 and returned to merchant service. She was broken up at Saint John, N.B., and her register closed in 1957.
