Launched: 05 Dec 1997

Commissioned: 12 Jul 1998

Paid off: 

 

Built at Halifax Shipyards Ltd., Halifax, N.S., Moncton was the 9th ship of her class.  She was launched on 05 Dec 1977 and commissioned at Pointe du Chêne, N.B. on 12 Jul 1998. Assigned to the east coast, Moncton was present at the search scene of the Swissair disaster.
