RCMP Captor was built for the RCMP Marine Section and accepted in 1936. She was turned over to the RCN in 1939 as CAPTOR from 1939 - 1942 then re-named HC 37. In the Canadian Navy Lists for June 1940 she was listed as a tender to Venture. In Jul of 1940 she was listed as an examination vessel. She was declared surplus and turned over to CADC for disposal on 14 August 1945. She was still registered in 2013. (Sources:  Research by Bryon Taylor / Canadian Navy List Jun 1940)
