Born: 26 Oct 1881, Harmony Mills, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada

 

Died: 16 Jun 1967, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada

 

KEMPTON, George Wilfred - passed away at the Dawson Memorial Hospital at Bridgewater on June 16th., at the age of 85 years. He was born at Harmony, son of the late Jason and Annie Kempton. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1939 to 1944. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, A.F. and A.M., at Liverpool and also a member of the Canadian Legion Branch No. 24 at Bridgewater. He is survived by his wife, the former Elsie Neville; a son, Alfred of Hawthorne, California; two daughters, Noreen (Mrs. Bruce Junkin), Montreal; Pearl (Mrs. Alex McCaughan), Montreal; four grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great grandson; three sisters, Stella (Mrs. J.E. Koster), New York; Lizzie (Mrs. Whitman Freeman), Milton; Nellie (Mrs. Peter Kenney), of Chark's Harbour. The funeral service was held at the United Church, Petite Riviere, Rev.
