In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ADAMS, John Gerald - The passing of John Gerald Adams, age 83 years of Saskatoon, occurred on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at his residence. J. G. was born near Neepawa, Manitoba, and had served in the Royal Canadian Navy in the Second World War. Jerry moved to Saskatoon in 1968, became employed with the Cory Potash Mine for 21 years, and was very active with the Army Navy and Air Force Veteran's Association. Surviving are his partner, Marlene Luchian; his daughters, Lynn Leslie (Doug Harder) and Kathleen (Bob) Parsons; grandchildren, Jeff (Tara) Leslie, Jill (Nadine) Leslie, Jamie Parsons and Garth (Sharon) Parsons; five great grandchildren; one brother, Bill Adams of Vancouver, BC. Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Ivy in 1980; his parents and two sisters. A special thank you to the staff of the Veteran's Village for their care shown to our Dad. Memorial donations may be made in Jerry's name to the Army Navy and Air Force Veterans Association, 359 1st Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1X5 or Sherbrooke Community Centre Veterans Village, 401 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 2E7. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from the Army Navy and Air Force Veterans Club, 359 1st Avenue North conducted by Rev. Colin Clay. A private interment of cremated remains will take place in the Field of Honour at Woodlawn Cemetery.
