In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
MARTIN, Eric Ronald - born on March 29th, 1939, passed away peacefully at home in Edmonton, Alberta on July 1st, 2024, at the age of 85.
Eric was born in Little Heart’s Ease, Newfoundland to Beatrice and Ralph Martin. He married his beautiful bride Jean in 1959 and together they had four daughters. Eric loved life and lived his to the fullest, enjoying every moment one day at a time. A proud Royal Canadian Navy veteran & merchant sailor for many years, he had many wonderful adventures and made countless friends. Eric’s animated stories of his years at sea, tales of his skydiving quests, and his guidance will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.
Eric is survived by his loving wife Jean and daughters Joanne, Darlene, Heather and Kelly, grandchildren; Melissa, Toni, Erica, Jon, Alex, Carrissa, Anne, ten great-grandchildren and his brother Gary and sister Jean.
All are welcome to join us at 7:00 PM the evening of Sunday, July 21 at the Westlock Buddhist Meditation Centre located 50km northwest of Edmonton at 58012 Range Rd 270, Busby, Alberta to celebrate Eric’s wonderful life.
