In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DAWE, Maurice Richard - Sadly, in the afternoon of Sunday, March 5th, 2023, Maurice Richard Dawe passed away peacefully at age 92 at Amica Little Lake Retirement Residence in Barrie, Ontario. Only 5 days short of his 93rd Birthday on March 10th. He will be fondly remembered for being a strong Irishman born in Lisburn, Ireland and known for his incredible ‘Cheshire’ smile. Also, a proud Navy man and Korean War Veteran. He always had an incredible passion for travel and a great love of ships. He decided it was time to join his wife, ‘Joy’, who he loved and missed so dearly.

Loving Husband to the late Maureen (Joy) Dawe (2021) and the late Eunice Dawe (1985).
Father to the late Stan Roy (2015) and daughter in-law Sharon Roy; grandsons Brendan and Sean.
Father to Don and Daughter-in-law Barbara Roy; granddaughters Amy and Emily. Great-grandson to Hugo.
Stepfather to Michele Hall (Atif), Bryn Golledge (Ann), Erin Rossano (John).
Grandfather to Diondra, Amanda (Aaron), Gabe (Gill), Blaire, Anthony (Sadie) and Tracy. Great-Grandfather to Axel, Rooney, Grey and Remi.
There will be a private burial for the family at Barrie Union Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life to be held in May.
