MORNING OWL, Patrick Charlie - With great sadness, we announce the passing of Patrick Charlie Morning Owl, on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 at Lethbridge, Alberta, at the age of 68 years. On St. Patrick’s Day, a special day to also remember our loved one in years ahead.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 17 years and 8 mos., Verdun Hind Bull-Morning Owl. Children: Patrick DeLoy Morning Owl, Chantelle Hamilton & Nicole Morning Owl. Step Children: Abigail (Matthew) Bennett, Angel Isaac & Amy (Landric) Ieremia. Siblings: Debra Ann (Clifford) Van Horn, Clifford Howard Morning Owl & special brother, Elroy Panther Bone. Blood Brother: Dr. Roland Guenther. Aunts: Vera Eagle Plume & Justine Stimson. Uncles: Barry Matheson. Step grandchildren whom he was “Papa” Pat to: Alana, Alora, Alyssa & Aliyah “Eboo” Bennett, Zion Isaac & Vaisega, Malia, Landric Jr. & Makali’i Ieremia. He was a special uncle to Verdun’s nieces and nephews. In-Laws: Christine (Wayne) Davis, Dewey Hind Bull & Margaret (Marvin) Bevans.
Patrick was predeceased by: Son: James Allen Morning Owl. Step son: Kasikee Allen Isaac. Parents: Patrick Rodger Morning Owl & Margaret Bita Morning Owl nee Panther Bone. Stepfather: Robert Cleveland. Siblings: May, David Joseph & Tina Marie Morning Owl. Grandparents: Charlie Panther Bone & Louise Panther Bone nee Takes The Gun Strong. Uncles: Michael (Loretta nee Red Crow) & Charles Jr. Panther Bone, other Uncles: Claude Clarence Eagle Plume & Ralph Stimson, Aunts: Ruth (Billy Black Water) & Kathleen Panther Bone, Valentine Matheson, & Pearl Heavy Runner. Other Aunts: Cecile Wolf Child, Emma Many Feathers nee Low Horn (Steven Fox Sr. & George Many Feathers) & Mary Eva Spotted Bull nee Medicine Crane (Ed Spotted Bull). In-Laws: Christopher (Diane nee Big Throat) Twigg Sr., Anthony, Morris Real, Jack, Shirley & Eugene Hind Bull.
Patrick had many relatives. Some relatives’ surnames were Morning Owls, Low Horns, Chief Moons, Panther Bones, Takes The Gun Strong/Bruised Heads, Foxes, Spotted Bulls, Medicine Cranes, Wolf Childs, White Quills, Brave Rocks, Heavy Runners, Tail Feathers, Mistaken Chiefs, and Turning Robes. We apologize, if any names were missed.
A thank you to Patrick’s health care providers, Dr. Robert Low, Pharmasave, and CBI Health home caregivers. Also, to the Haig Tower Apartment managers & community and to the LDS 1st Ward members. Most grateful for the many kindnesses shown to support Patrick’s Celebration of Life. An appreciation for the support he received through the Veterans Association and the Headdress Society acknowledging Patrick as a veteran. A special thank you to Glenn Miller, as not only a good friend but, for having saved Pat’s life in several instances so that we all had him with us longer.
Lastly, Thank You Pat, for adding to our lives and being who you were. We will miss you!
A wake service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (846 1st Ave West) on Thursday, April 2 at 10:00 am.
