In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HEDLEY, Tom E. - Passed on 08 July 2025 very suddenly with a severe heart attack that he didn't have any knowledge of or problems with in his life. He passed away very quickly while in the garden doing what he loved best, looking after the flowers and grass etc. Needless to say, it was and still is a shock to me.
During his Navy career Tom had the pleasure of being on submarines for four years, namely the HMCS Grilse and the Rainbow. He ended his career on the HMCS Huron in 1974 and enjoyed civilian life very much but never losthis taste for the sea.
Some of the members may remember him as he sailed with Bob Emery and a few others whose names escape me at the moment.
I would very much appreciate you letting the other members know. Tom had a severe hearing loss and as a result didn't keep up with the submariners meeting which he enjoyed.
