Died: 10 Jul 2025, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada

 

ROBERTS, William James - resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at Roseview Manor on July 10, 2005. Born on November 5th, 1918 in Port Arthur, he was raised and educated there as well. He was employed as an electrical technician with Ontario Hydro for 23 years and served with the Royal Canadian Navy on the corvette Oakville during the Second World War. A radio enthusiast, he was a life member of the Lakehead Amateur Radio Club. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty), daughter Susan, son James and grandchildren Christopher and Jessica, sister Freda Lawson of Lindsay, Ontario and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date. As per family wishes, no service will be held at this time. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Westway would be greatly appreciated by the family. (The Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal 11 Jul 2025)
