TRAFFORD, Gib - Second World War Veteran - Passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham, on Tuesday, August 30th, 2005. Gilbert Alexander Trafford, of Durham, in his 84th year. Loving husband of the former Bertha Glass. Dear father of Larry and his wife Ria of London, and Peter and his wife Diane of R.R.1 Hanover. Fondly remembered by his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Lucille Howard Cutting, of Hespeler, Kay Don Rice, of Covington, Ohio and Bud Yolande Trafford, of Ottawa. Predeceased by his son Phillip Trafford and his brothers Harold and Pat Trafford. Gib served with unique distinction in both the Canadian Army and the Canadian Navy during WWII. Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham, on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., where members of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at 6:45 p.m. A celebration of life for Gib will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment Durham Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Durham Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
