In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SCHAFHEITLIN, Frederick Blake - On Friday September 18th, 2009 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Frederick Blake in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Schafheitlin. He will be profoundly missed by his children: Susy, Judy & Don; his grandchildren Jody, Jesse, Allison & Sarah; his great grandchildren: Kenzie, Riley & Meghan. Fred will be greatly missed by his sister Betty Eaton and his many friends in Oakville and Bayfield. Predeceased by his brother Don. Fred was born in Nova Scotia, and went on to serve in the Navy during WWII. He had a distinguished career as a mechanical engineer at H. G. Acres & Atomic Energy of Canada. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 9th at 11 a.m. at Munn's United Church, 5 Dundas St. E., Oakville. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. (The Clinton New Record 10 Nov 2009)
