Bernard helped recover a aluminum cast badge of H.M.C.S. North Bay.  Many years ago a couple of workers informed him that they found something in the basement of City Hall - something that was about to be tossed.  It turned out that Rahn Metals of North Bay cast the aluminum badge casting for the ship.  It was restored to its full colour glory with Bernard's help.
