Born: 22 Sep 1938, Belle River, Ontario, Canada

 

Died: 09 May 2006, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada

 

PARENT, Neil Jerome - beloved husband of Fayanne (Gallienne) Parent, of Belleisle Creek, NB, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, surrounded by the love of his family. Neil was born September 22, 1938, in Belle River, ON, the son of John and Gladys (Diesbourg) Parent.

 

Neil served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Radioman for 18 years, then worked for the Federal Department of Communications for 16 years as a licensing inspector. His hobbies included tropical fish, baseball (player and coach), vintage motorcycle restoration, and golfing.

 

He is survived by his wife, loving daughters; Venus Gowan (Hampton, NB), Diana Parent (Hubbards, NS), Aurora Parent (Halifax, NS), Maia Maguire (Saint John, NB), Athena Arbeau (Saint John, NB), 12 grandchildren; Nathaniel, Christian, Byrann, Paulette, Robert, Peter, Jessie, Travis, Conor, Elizabeth, Blaise, and Shania, one great granddaughter; Reese, much loved brother and sisters; Joan Antaya (Petawawa, ON), Charlene Wilson (Cottam, ON), Nick Parent (Port Perry, ON). Neil will also be missed by his nephew and nieces. (The Windsor Star 11 May 2006)
