In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
CHADWICK, Thomas George - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas George Chadwick, 94 of Halifax, NS, on June 25, 2025. Born on September 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Sylvia and Albert Chadwick.
Thomas was pre deceased by his wife Shirley (Holland) and his daughter Gail (Fitzmorris). He is survived by his sister Sylvia (Evans) San Diego, his daughter Janet (William Fougere), grandchildren Lindsay (Chris Tomes) Newfoundland, Thomas Fougere Alberta, great-grandchildren Jack and William Tomes, Brother-in-Law Wayne Shinners and his caring friend Lillian Grant.
Thomas served his country for 20 years with the Royal Canadian Navy and after retirement went on to a second career with the Halifax Dockyard. He and Shirley also had an entrepreneurial spirit as was shown through their little gift store in Indian Harbour, N.S. (The Wood n Wool). The wood part of this small shop came from Tom's hard work and skill of making Adirondack chairs and tables, planters and trellises. He also enjoyed his time on his Cape Island Boat fishing (when the fishing was good)!
Burial will take place out of town but a gathering for family and friends will be held at the home of Janet and Will from 12:30 till 3 on July 15th.
