CLOUTIER, Rénald (Ron) - Sadly, we announce the passing of Rénald (Ron), Cloutier on Jul 23, 2025 at the age of 88 years. Ron was born in Drummondville Quebec to André and Irene Cloutier on Dec 27, 1936. Ron leaves behind his sisters, Françoise , Pierrette, Danielle and his brother Michel. He was preceded by his wife Ruby Thomas of 48 years and sisters Carmen and Pauline. Ron will be missed by his surviving wife, Liane Geoffrion, who shared his life for 19 years, and his sons, shared with his previous wife Ruby Thomas, Andre (Wanda), Peter (Sheri), Steve (Janet) and daughter Louise (Jeff), his grandchildren Alexis, Quinn, Britany, Brandon, Nicole and Natalie, Mackenzie and Zachary, his 5 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Ron was a man of few words but his quiet strength, loyalty, and patience spoke volumes. He loved his family deeply and lived a life full of love. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Ron spent 31 years in the Navy and worked for the Department of National Defence for many years. He was an avid golfer who cherished time on the course.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice Maison de L'Est where he received excellent palliative care.
A celebration of life will be held Monday August 25, 2025 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Rd, Ottawa, Ontario.
