In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
OKE, Henry Morton (Hank) - It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Henry (Hank) Oke on the 28th day of August 2023. He was just 80 years old.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 25 years, Colleen, children Kathy (Mark), Louise, stepchildren Deena (Rob) and Laureen.
He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and his brother Kenneth Allen Oke (Eileen) nephew Anthony (Andrea) as well as many friends and relatives.
Hank will be dearly missed by many friends, clients, and co-workers especially Al McGarvey and Dave Owen. Hank worked as a counselor for many years at Strathcona Counselling.
Hank is predeceased by his Father, Allan Morton Oke, his Mother Mildred Louise Oke, his older brother Robert (Bob) Charles Oke, and his nephew Darryl Kenneth Oke.
The family would also like to thank the staff of the ICU at the Courtenay Hospital and also to Dr. Mathew Robertson and staff at the Valley Care Medical Clinic, for the wonderful care they have all given to Hank over the years.
A celebration of Hank's life will take place on Friday December 1st, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay BC V9W 3R6. (The Victoria Times Colonist 18 Nov 2023)
