Died: 26 Oct 2014

 

MAJALAHTI, Lauri (Maj) - of Bedford, pased away suddenly in Cobequid Community Health Centre. Born in Vancouver, B.C., he was a son of the late Paavo Johannes and Jenni Eva Majalahti (Asnabrygg). A member of the Royal Canadian Navy for 27 years. He was avery active in the Square Dance Association and was an avid gardener where he spent many pleasurable hours. Survived by his wife, Joan Marie (Chaddock); sister, Liisa Stewart of Calgary and several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29 from 6-8 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., halifax, B3S 0E1 (902-455-0531). Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30 at 2 p.m. in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Bedford, with reception to follow. Interment in Oakridge Memorial Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Saint Vincent DePaul Society c/o St. Ignatius Parish, Bedford.
