In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BELL, Russell Benjamin (Ben) - passed away peacefully at the George Derby Centre in Burnaby. Predeceased by his father R.D. Bell, mother Edith Challenger, sisters Patsy Bell and Tillie Cuthbertson. Ben will be missed by his loving wife Joan, his daughter Lisa Bell, his stepson Tom Stock, other family members and many friends. In WWII, Ben served in the R.C.N. on the Ship Prince David from 1940 - 1948. He also worked for Transport Canada as electrical supervisor at Vancouver Airport and throughout B.C. I wish to thank the wonderful staff at George Derby for caring for him. A Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. at White Rock Legion Br.8, 2290 152 Street, Surrey, B.C. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the George Derby Centre or the Royal Canadian Legion.
