In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WALKER, John Donald - John was born in Windsor, Ontario, where he grew up around horses and loved fixing things. He eventually became a mechanic and gas station owner, after serving in the Navy in the Korean War. John moved his family to Kelowna in 1970, where he became involved in the real estate industry till his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and was probably addicted to golfing, as many will attest at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club where he was a member for over three decades.
John passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023, with several family members present. He leaves behind his beloved wife Patricia; children Garth, Scott, Leann (Owenson), and Kim (Naka); 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
At John’s request, the family will celebrate his life privately.
Thank you to all those who were such a support to the family in John’s final days, especially the staff at Village at Mill Creek retirement home.
