In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DICKSON, C. G. MacKenzie - Born, 1925, in St. Lambert, Quebec, son of Wm. Parker Dickson and Grace (Adams) Dickson, Kenzie died November 4, 2013, in Peterborough, Ontario, in the presence of his wife, Mary Jane, his beloved companion for 62 years. His early years were spent at the Grove School in Lakefield. Upon graduation, he enlisted and spent two years in the Navy on convoy duty in the North Atlantic on board the HMCS Eastview. After the war, Kenzie enrolled at McGill and graduated as a chemical engineer. In 1955, he and his partner, Bernie Kahane, founded Separator Engineering Ltd., from which he retired fifty years later. Kenzie spent many happy summers at Stony Lake, much of his time on board the Spindrift. He was a loving, and loved, father to Parker, Peter, Hilary, Rebecca (Angus MacDonald) and Amy Dickson, Bronwen (Derek) Perks and Michele Morgan; granddad to Rian, Eric, Morgan, Hannah, Nicole, Danni, Britain, Molly, Mary Jane, MacKenzie, Ceinwen, Sarah and Joseph; great- grandfather of Grace and Rowan. A memorial service for Kenzie will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Comstock Funeral Home, 356 Rubidge St., Peterborough. (The Globe and Mail 07 Nov 2013)
