MOULTON, Gordon - Passed peacefully away at home Sunday June 13, 2021, the way he wanted, surrounded by his loving family, Gordon Moulton (Ret. Purser, Marine Atlantic), at 81 years of age.

Leaving with fond memories, his loving and devoted wife of almost 58 years, Joan (Spurrell), his daughters Kelly (Stephen) Blackwood and Jo-Ann (Doug) Day. The absolute joys and treasures of his life, "Pop's Angels", granddaughters Katelyn (Allan) Rowe, Lauren Blackwood and Sydney Day, his sister Margaret Maloney, brother-in-law Cyril Spurrell (Calgary, AB) and special lifelong friend, Edwina Crane. Also leaving to mourn nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.

Gordon was born in Burgeo, NL and was very proud of his roots. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy at the young age of 17 and proudly served for 10 years, with an Honourable Discharge. He continued his career at sea, working for Marine Atlantic for the next 30 years.

After retirement, he and Mom (the Saint!) spent most of their winters in Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Throughout the year, they would often just pick up and go. They would load the car (egg sandwiches made for the trip) and head out on another adventure.

Anyone who knew Dad was very aware of his passion for the Masonic Lodge. He was an active member for 48 years of Neptune Lodge (Mother Lodge), as well as Lodge NL Kilwinning (Distinguished Member), Lodge Conception, Honourary member of Lodge Tasker and Lodge St. Andrew. At the time of his passing, he was reigning Worshipful Master of Farnham Lodge of Research. He was a member of the Mazol Shriners and the Royal Order of Scotland. In 2012, he started the Masonic Coffee Club, providing his fellow brethren with an opportunity to get together on a weekly basis.

Gordon was very affectionately known as the "Accordion Man". He gave countless hours of musical enjoyment to young and old alike. He was a great storyteller and always held a captive audience.

Special thank you to Sharon Nurse RN, Dr. L. Rodgers, Dr. T. Stuckless, Dr. Siddique, Eastern Health Paramedics and all our wonderful, kind and generous family, friends and neighbours.

"The song has ended, but the melody lingers on...."
