FRASER, Ernest Frank, Jr. - 52, passed away suddenly at his home in East LaHave on Wednesday, January 25, 1967. Born in Boston, he was a son of Mrs. Marcy Fraser, Dartmouth and the late Ernest Fraser.

 

Mr. Fraser resided in Dartmouth for a number of years where he served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and worked as a pipe fitter with the Imperial Oil Limited for 25 years. On his retirement, he moved to East LaHave where he had lived for the past 5 1/2 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No 24, Bridgewater and of St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church.

 

Left to mourn his passing besides his mother are his wife, the former Delia Snyder, Dayspring; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Olshefsky, Dartmouth; Janet (Mrs. Richard Lohnes), Dayspring; and Brenda, at home; one son, Frank, Edmonton five sisters; six brothers; and six grandchildren. A son, David, predeceased him in infancy.

 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 28, 1967, from St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, Middle LaHave and interment was in the family plot in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Dartmouth. Rev. Gregory Pritchard officiated at the service and the hymns sung were "Bless Be the Tie that Binds" and "The Strife is O'er, the Battle's Done."

 

Pall bearers at the church were members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 24 and at the graveside were former fellow workers of Imperial Oil Limited. (The Brdigewater Bulletin 1967) (Source: Find-a-Grave)
