In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BROWN, Donald Edward (Don) - was a loving and engaging husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce, three sons: Doug (Debra), Neil (Colleen) and Ron. He's also survived by granddaughters Melissa, Amanda, Alise, and great grandson Hunter. Predeceased by his sisters Lorraine Krauss, Bernice MacMahon and grandson Talon Brown.
Don grew up in Regina, joined the navy at 19 and spent 23 years serving his country, followed by 18 years in HMC Dockyard repairing some of the same ships he'd sailed on. After retirement from Dockyard he moved on to selling rv's for 4 or 5 years followed by another 4 or 5 years piloting for the Victoria Harbour Ferries in Victoria's inner harbour.
Don and Joyce travelled for a while every year before and after retirement seeing much of the world. Eventually they purchased their winter retreat in Florence, Arizona where they enjoyed being snowbirds for many years! (The Victoria Times Colonist 01 Mar 2025)
