STRACHAN, Charles Robert (Bob) - born 1942, passed suddenly and unexpectedly at home in Coquitlam on Friday, January 3, 2025.

Bob was preceded in death by parents, Patrick and Jean Strachan, brother, Michael Strachan, daughter, Valerie Strachan, and grandson, Alex Utley. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Strachan, and children, Cliff (Sara) Strachan, Liz (Luke) Ellsworth, and John (Suzanne) Strachan, and his sister, Carol Sheilds. Bob was known for his big heart, and love and support of family. He and Linda helped raise a granddaughter, Sarah Strachan, and a nephew, Stacey Mackeil. He leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who will miss him, his stories, and his loving support.

Bob enjoyed growing up in Langford, BC, with his siblings Mike and Carol. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1962 to 1969, specializing in communications. His main career was at British Columbia Rail from 1970 to 2000, working primarily in microwave communication systems. After retiring, he drove Cardinal school buses until 2012.
