David Ogilvie (Dave) Hunter

Died: 15 Jan 2007, North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

 

HUNTER, David Ogilvie - aged 86, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2007 at Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Edna, daughters Lorraine Robinson (Dave), Lee Anne Taylor (Brian), Christine McLellan (Warren), grandchildren Adam (Karen), Sara (Kelly), Carla (Paul), Malia, Michelle, Trevor, Meaghan, and Sean, great-grandson Eric and Dave's sister Kay Copithorne. Predeceased by wife Betty in 1985. Born in Calgary, March 7, 1920, Dave served with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. Following the war, he began an accounting career from which he retired after 35 years with Westcoast Transmission Company. Dave belonged to the Naval Officers Association and was a Life Member of The Society of Management Accountants of BC. An avid golfer, he enjoyed many rounds with friends at Seymour Golf & Country Club. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 20th, 2007 with grandson Adam Robinson officiating. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring staff on 6 East at Lion's Gate Hospital.
