In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
Otto and his twin brother Carl were both born in Norway. They arrived in Montreal, Quebec on the Ionian on 10 May 1903. They were accompanied by their mother, brother Thorlief and sister Julie.
In an article from the Victoria Times, Otto appears to have been serving in HMCS GALIANO, but did not sail on the ship's final journey.
His family moved to the United States and Otto served in the US Army Air Forces as a Staff Sergeant during the Second World War.
