HULAN, Douglas Percy - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Douglas Percy Hulan, 87 years, of Dartmouth, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at his residence.
Born in McKays, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late William C. and Elsie M. (Monroe) Hulan.
Doug was started out in the Navy, then worked for the Hospital in Halifax, for over 25 years, then to the Dartmouth School Board where he worked until his retirement. He loved boxing, and loved working with wood.
Doug will be dearly missed by his wife the former, Jacqueline White, Dartmouth; daughter, Susan (Rick) Berry, Springhill; three grandchildren, Riley, Drake (Shelby) and Rachel; great grandchildren Savannah, Felix, Raelynn, Archer, Oaklynn, and Sage; sister in law Christina Hulan, McKays, NL.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by: brothers, Jim (Rose), Ray, Gordon (Pearl), Vernon (Mary), Elwin (Thelma), Lloyd (Glenna) and sister Marie (Herman) Jeffreys.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). In keeping with Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, at a later date.
