Son of George Leaman and Margaret (née Purdy) Leaman. George married his first wife Vera Wilson in March 1933 at Millan, Nova Scotia. He married his second wife Lillian Ruth Hirtle 30 Jun 1943 at Upper Kingsburg, Nova Scotia. George is buried in the Lakeview Cemetery, Kingsburg, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia.
