LANGILLE, Lorimer Leon (Larry) - Passed away with family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on June 29th, 2011; age 91 years. Born December 24, 1919 in Oxford Junction, NS, later residing in Tatamagouche and Lunenberg. Professional Engineer (Mechanical) educated at Mount Allison University and Nova Scotia Technical College (B. Eng '43). Served in the R.C.N.V.R. as Lieut. (E) during final years of World War II. Employed for over 35 years with Dominion Textile in Montreal, PQ. Enjoyed a quiet and healthy retirement in Brockville, ON, spending hours reading and doing crossword puzzles; enjoyed participating in the Brockville Lawn Bowling Club and the Legion's Diamond Jubilee shuffleboard group, and until recently was a regular duffer at the Sunnidell Golf Course. Previously he volunteered with Brockville Kiwanis and was a founding member and first president of the Probus Club of Brockville. Predeceased by wife Sylvia, son David and brother Willis (Yvonne). Survived by son Craig (Sara) of Toronto, daughters Kimberley of Toronto and Cathy of Lachute, PQ, and sister Mary-Lou (Ian) Keith of Shediac, NB. Also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial to take place in family plot in New Annan, NS. Condolences can be sent to the family through BARCLAYS FUNERAL HOME. Larry is buried in the New Annan Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan, Colchester Co., Nova Scotia
