STEWART, Larry Seymour - 81, of Clam Point, passed away at Bay Side Home, Barrington, on February 28, 2024 with his wife by his side. Born on January 15, 1943 in Clam Point, he was a son of the late William and Luella (Ross) Stewart. Larry loved to play his guitar and sing, hunt deer, and duck. He was in the Navy from November 14, 1960 to January 14, 1962 with an honourable discharge and was a Legion member. Larry held various jobs over the years most of his career as an inspection officer with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and also, the Canadian Food Inspector Agency. He is survived by his wife, Carla; children, Rhonda (Darryl) Anderson; Shawn (Lori), Darren (Maggie); step-children, Lanny Newell, Teri Lynn Chetwynd, Corinne Ross (Graham); grandchildren, Jeremy (Allison), Christopher, Brandy, Jenna (Josh), Ethan, Emilee, Harlow, Jase; great-grandsons, Jaxtyn and Jensen; sister, Barbara Brannen; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Larry was predeceased by his wife, Janet; siblings, Ralston, Robie, Jean, Joyce, and Gloria. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Bay Side Home and Dr. Yee for the exceptional care and love he received in the three years he resided at Bay Side Home; and also thank you to H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home. There will be a visitation held Tuesday from 7-9 pm at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, where the Funeral Service will be held the following day, Wednesday, March 6, at 2 pm. Interment to follow in the Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island.
