In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
Harry served in the RCNVR during the Second World War on Atlantic convoys and was present at D-Day. Harry is buried in the Westlawn Memorial Gardens, Edmonton, Alberta.
Harry's father, Amos Smith, 100th Winnipeg Grenadiers, served in the 78th Overseas Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War and was killed at Vimy Ridge - leaving a wife and 5 children on a homestead in Southern Manitoba.

(HS01-HS02) US Navy Signal Gun from the S.S. Spirit of Seattle whose crew was rescued by HMCS AGASSIZ after the ship was torpedoed in Aug 1942 (HS03) Harry Smith's morse key (HS04) Letter open - the handle was made with the casing from a .50 cal shell
