In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
KAYE, Alan Rudy - Passed away on October 5, 2024 at Extendicare Kingston in his 81st year. Loving husband of 59 years to Sharon Kaye. Proud father of Brian (Annette Asselstine) and Tracy Kaye. Cherished grandfather of Dylan McGeein-Kaye. Remembered by his sisters Linda (Jack) Swiddle and Beverley (Mike) MacAllister. Predeceased by his brother Danny (Maggie) Kaye.
At the age of 17 Al joined the navy for three great years. He then did a four year apprenticeship with the CNR, joining Ontario Hydro for 33 very good years. Retiring in the Kingston area at age 60, Alan enjoyed sports, home, family and friends. Until the end, his sense of humor shone through. Alan will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Extendicare Kingston who cared for him the last 8 ½ months.
A Celebration of Al's life will be held on Tuesday, October 15, in the Penthouse of 1060 Old Mill Road, Kingston from 5-8 p.m. Donations directed to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. (The Whig Standard, 12 Oct 2024)
