DUNCOMBE, Robert Bruce - was a longtime resident of Ottawa Ontario and worked for tourism Canada public service department until he retired Robert was a four-stripe naval captain in the naval reserves HMCS Carlton at Dows Lake in Ottawa Ontario. Robert was an aide de comp military attaché to two governor generals of Canada, Governor General Michener and Governor General leger. He loved to travel between his homes in Tucson, Arizona, where his parents resided and his homes in Canada.

 

In 2012 Robert and his partner Rodney move to Fredericton, New Brunswick and live there until his passing in January. He will be missed by all his friends and family as he was a forced to be reckoned with. He loved hiking and anything that was of the culinary nature. Also, beers on the patio, a favorite pastime, a typical Maritime experience.

 

He is survived by his husband, Rodney Tripp of Fredericton New Brunswick, there was a cremation as per his wishes. He requested no funeral, and his ashes will be spread for his wishes at the discretion of his husband.
