In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WAMBACK, Stanford N. - 73, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., NS, died Monday, Dec. 3, at the Camp Hill Hospital in Halifax, NS.
Born in Hebb's Cross, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Nelson and Emma (Bellivar) Wamback.
He served with the RCN during WW II, and after the war he entered the Fuenral Profession. In 1951 he opened the Wamback Memorial Chapel in Bridgewater, NS. He retired in 1966 due to ill health.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, and a member of the Bridgewater Branch No. 24 of the R.C.L.
Surviving are: two sisters, Geraldine (Mrs. William Whynott), Hebb's Cross; and Mrs. Mildred Wife, Bridgewater.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Catherine MacNair; a son Robert; and a brother Benjamin.
The body rested at Chandler's Funeral Home, Liverpool.
Funeral served were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1984 at 2 p.m. Reverend Willis Ott officiated. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, NS.
