Died: 31 Aug 2005, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec

 

MARTEL, Maurice J. - Passed away peacefully at St. Anne's Veterans Hospital on August 31. Husband of the late Carole Bown. Father of the late Donald. Also survived by his beloved sister Cecile Beaton (Cis) of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and brother Ken, numerous nieces and nephews. During wartime he served in the RCN. As an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion he rose to the rank of District commander. Resting at JF Wilson Funeral Home 5784 Verdun Ave., Verdun. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, September 3 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Field of Honor Cemetery, Pte-Claire. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ste Anne's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation Friday, September 2 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. (The Montreal Gazette, 02 Sep 2005)
