In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BRISSON, Gaston Joseph Theod - Passed away in the QEII Hospital. Born in Amos Que. He came to Nova Scotia in 1960, where he served in the Canadian Navy for 35 years, 25 as a regular officer and 10 years instructing Reserves. He was recruited by SCN Lavin to prepare bilingual instruction manuals for a new class of ships. Then he worked in the Dockyard, and for the Corps of Commissioners at Province House and at the QEII. After retiring for the last time he spent his time gardening and decorating his yard for his grandchildren and the neighbour kids. His family was his pride and joy his greatest happiness. He is leaving a large hole in all our hearts. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sharon, his daughter, Jolene Bard (LCD Andre), grandsons Alex and Henri Bard, Sydney, Australia, and foster sons The Tran (Tam) and granddaughters Abby and Emily Tran, and Michael Tran (Thuy) and grandson Andy and granddaughter Allison Tran of Halifax. And by his sister Estelle DesRivieres (Richard) and brother Conrad Brisson (Suzanne) both of Ottawa. He was predeceased by his parents Armand and Gabrielle Brisson, his sisters, Gaetane LeBreche, Nicole Desjardins, Gorgette Collison and brother, Gerald Brisson. The funeral will be held on September 21st at 12:00 at St. Stephen’s Church Robie St. And Normandy Drive. Interment will be at a later date in Ottawa. (Arbor Memorial)
