GALLANT, Daniel Robert (Danny) - Daniel Robert Gallant, 68, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed suddenly surrounded by family on August 25, 2024. Danny was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, to the late Bob and Wanda Gallant (Astles). He is predeceased by his brother, Billy and sister Darlene. Danny joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1975 as a Hull Technician, serving 21 years. He continued working in industrial sales until retirement in 2019. He enjoyed the simple things in life, sitting on the back deck listening to music while enjoying a good cigar and a few Coors Light beer. He was the most pleasant, kind, and gentle man. Danny enjoyed listening to music, watching television and movies, reading comics, fishing and hunting. He always looked forward to the annual hunting trip in Guysborough County. He was naturally gifted at fixing things. He enjoyed woodworking and mechanical projects. Danny is survived by the love of his life of 45 years, Liz; his son, Michael and daughter Paula, her husband Scott, and papa's little girl Madison. He is also survived by his brothers, Steve (Connie) and Wayne (Dorothy). A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm, Sunday September 1, at Atlantic Funeral Home,771 Main Street, Dartmouth, followed by reception. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Danny’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Poppy Fund or a charity of your choice in his memory. (Arbor Memorial)
