LANGILLE, Ernest Cecil (Ernie) - 83, Tatamagouche, passed away July 26, 2024 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro.
Ernie was a son of the late Victor and Leta (Millet) Langille.
Ernie served with the Royal Canadian Navy retiring after over 23 years of service as Engine Room Petty Officer First Class. He then went on to work with CanExel for many years until retirement. In his younger years, Ernie kept physically active and especially enjoyed jogging. He was always up for a game of crib, darts and also enjoyed bowling.
Surviving is his loving wife, Hazel (Weatherbie); children, Dwayne Langille and Donna Bezanson; three grandchildren; step children, Sandra and Phillip; five step grandchildren as well as a number of step great grandchildren; siblings, Gertie Lewis, Doreen Tattrie, Judy Hennessey, Austin Langille, Richard Langille, Calvin Langille; many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Ernie was predeceased by daughter, Vicki Langille and sister, Eileen Mingo.
Ernie’s Service will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 2pm in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche, with Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lockerby Memorial Cemetery or to the Colchester Branch SPCA. Arrangements are under the direction of Coulter's Funeral Home in Tatamagouche.
