Excerpt from the wedding announcement in the Lunenburg Progress Enterprise, Wed, 30 Dec 1942 pg 8 - WEDDING BELLS HIGGINS ~ CUSTANCE - A very pretty wedding took place at the United Church Manse, Blue Rocks, on Saturday, Dec 26th, when Dorothy Ilene, only daughter of Lic. S. A. Custance and Mrs. Custance, became the bride of Lawrence William Higgins, R.C.N.V.R., son of Mr. and Mrs. David Higgins of Grand Pre. (Researched by George Newbury)
