In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SMILLIE, William Raymond Dunsmuir - Passed away on October 4, 2017 in his 70th year after a brief, but brave battle with cancer. Raymond died peacefully with his wife, Barbara and dear friend Bob, by his side. Raymond proudly served a 4-yr term in the Royal Canadian Navy and, as a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police for 30 yrs (retired). A devoted husband of 51 years and loving father to daughter Kimberly Ann (Kevin) and son William "Aaron" Sean Dunsmuir. Loving grandfather to Kerreena (Chris),Jordon and Kayla, great grandchildren Kale and Jaxon. Predeceased by brother John and parents William (Bill)and Berly. Fondly remembered by Sisters Vicki and Val, sisters-in-law Marilyn of the Felician Sisters and Donna (David), brothers-in-law Gary (Carol),Glen, Rick, Brock (Debbie) and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Raymond's wishes, a cremation has taken place. A private "Celebration of Life" with immediate family, Father Bob Masters officiating, will be held on Thursday October 12, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation – Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario. (The SOOTODAY 10 Oct 2017)
