SANDERS, Joseph David Elisee - The family of Joseph David Elisee Sanders are saddened to announce his sudden passing in Halifax, N.S. at the Halifax Infirmary on Sunday May 12, 2024. Born in Montreal, Quebec on August 27, 1953 he was the fourth son of Ralph Sanders and Janine (Sauvageau) Sanders. He attended school in the Montreal area and was fluent in French and English. After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy, he married Susan King and worked in the Printing field for many years. He was very handy with wood and was quite meticulous with his work. He also had a lifelong interest in electronics and mechanics. Of interest, David was an avid church goer.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his brother James William Sanders in May 2018. He is survived by two brothers Eddie (Barbara) and Luc A. Sanders, his nephews Jeffrey, Richard (Tracy), Aubrey (Jill), Michael (Natalie), Timothy (Aleen) Sanders, his niece Sylvia (Jorge) Carbonell and their families as well as cousins in Nova Scotia and Quebec. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dartmouth Funeral Home Ltd. 29 Queen St., Dartmouth, N.S. B2Y 1E9 Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be offered by Fr. Yves Marchildon at Holy Trinity Parish, May 31, 2024 at 11:30 am, 4 Beaver Bank Rd. Lower Sackville, NS. Burial will take place at a future date
