Herbert Hayman Fricker

Died: 08 May 1960, Neils Harbour, Victoria Co., Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

 

Note: His army service file gives his year of birth as 1896

 

Son of Joseph Fricker (04 Dec 1870-15 Oct 1955) and Alice Tryphene (née Hayman) Fricker (07 Nov 1872-22 Jan 1960).  Herbert enlisted in the Army in 1918 but was discharge for failing the medical. He was T.O.S. and S.O.S. on 04 Jun 1918.  At some point he enlisted in the Navy but no records have been found to show his service.  He married Charlotte Ingraham of Neils Harbour on 17 Aug 1920 in St. Andrew's Church, Neils Harbour.  His father Joseph Fricker also served in the Navy but it is not known if he served in the Royal Navy or Royal Canadian Navy.
