In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
PENNEY, Harold - Passed away on December 4, 2023 at Dartmouth General, Harold (June) Penney, age 80. He leaves to mourn his wife Bonnie (McMullan), children Jane and Charlotte, grandchildren Jermaine, Jonathan, Marissa and Demetrius and his Labrador dog Archie. Also sister Helen (Churchill) and brother Frank of Newfoundland.
Harold is predeceased by his parents Margaret (Collins) and Harold Penney of Carbonear, Newfoundland and siblings Silas, Eric, Doris and Jean.
Also his daughter Barbara, grandson Matthew and granddaughter Marley.
Harold served in the Canadian Military (Navy) for 30 years and then went on to work with the Canadian Coastguard.
He was a quiet thoughtful man but not without a sense of humour. Loved growing vegetables and a great cook. He was infamous for his seafood chowder and his Christmas cakes were of another world. He will be missed by all.
Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy in Harold’s memory , donations may be made to a local animal shelter.
